Joel, Jesse, Matisse. {Brisbane Powerhouse}
On a cloudy Brisbane afternoon, I was just a little nervous waiting to meet these Interstate clients. Grey clouds are not really a bother but rain? Open venue? No thank you. As Tanya’s car pulled up and I saw these beautiful smiling people excitedly waving at me, my heart let out a happy sigh. In an instant I remembered, no matter the weather or the location, it’s the people who really make a shoot. All my fretting slipped away and we got on with the business of playing chasey, chatting about our favorite films and throwing confetti. Matisse held my hand, Jesse laughed at my sillyness and Joel chatted to me like we were friends from way back. Thank you Tanya, for trusting me to capture your amazing children. I drove home that day so thankful..not because the weather held off but because I’d spent a wonderful afternoon with some very special people, little and big.

What lens(es) did you use for this shoot?

We were the lucky ones in both meeting you and coming away with such beautiful pictures. We all had such a great time. Matisse is very excited right now that she is on the computer screen :) Thank you again – you really are inspirational xx

I am just getting to this now. It’s been a long week. I have just farewelled the second friend in six months after loosing her battle with cancer. She leaves behind two gorgeous children, the other friend just one. I have been toying with the idea of new family pics for a while now, but just can’t find the right person locally. I can’t fly to CA to see Tara Whitney. But after reading your gorgeous words I want to jump in the car and drive my family to you right now. Sheye you do such an amazing thing for so many lucky families. They are blessed to have these images. And you are very special for sharing such an amazing talent, and giving such a special gift to families. And for giving so much of your self by cherishing the responsibility. Much love to you.
