Ava’s Tea Party update!

Wow, what a wonderful week!  We have been absolutely amazed and so very thrilled at the support for Ava’s Tea Party already shown.   A few friends have pointed out that August feels different this year, the weight and the sadness have been replaced by excitement and hope.  We’re planning while we’re remembering and as a family, we have arrived in August with so much to celebrate and look forward to.  It’s you..the people who have opened your hearts up and embraced Ava’s Tea Party, who have made that difference.  Thank you so, so much to all of you who’ve shared the link on Facebook, who’ve begun planning your parties and to businesses big and small who’ve  come up with gorgeous ways to become involved.  Here’s just a few:

The Lemony Cupcake here in Brisbane have offered to donate 100% of profit from cupcake orders in August to Paradise Kids.  (The calories don’t count if you’re eating them for charity.)

Cloud Dreaming have generously pledged to donate $1 to Paradise Kids for every cloud dream submitted through August. (Even more wonderful, Fran will double it if you can come up with something to suit the ATP theme this month!)
You don’t normally need an excuse to cloud-dream but this month, you’ll be helping out an amazing organization in the process!

AnK Boutique have made a gorgeous hair clip set specifically for Ava’s Tea Party and all proceeds in August are donated to Paradise Kids.  I’ve already heard they’re selling fast!

Please remember if you would like one of the limited edition invitations or tea party kits created for Ava’s Tea Party, they are only on sale until end August.

We’d love it if you could support these businesses who are generously offering time and products to help make Ava’s Tea Party everything we hope for.  Many, many more businesses have offered their support in beautiful ways but time is not on our side this year..which actually just means we’re already excited to see what will happen in 2011!  If you’re fund-raising as part of your ATP event this year, please send us details!  Remember we’re giving away an Ava’s Tea Party print if you spread the word at Facebook!   Just leave me a comment here letting me know.

Thank you thank you thank you.  We are so grateful.

I’m also spreading the word on FB, I’m a slacker like that (plus I love the print) ;) We were already practicing for Ava’s tea party some weeks ago to make sure that this year I will manage to make our own cupcakes… it’s harder than it looks like ;) Pink thoughts…

We are so excited to be a part of ATP. We will be holding a tea party with our nearest and dearest, thinking ribbons, bows, angel cakes and lollies. Won’t be able to do it until the first weekend of September – but better late than never. Have shared on our blog and on our facebook page.

I saw an email about Ava’s tea party while sitting in my office, highly stressed and working far too many hours. Even though I was racing a deadline – your story made me stop in my tracks! I shed many tears that morning in my office and made a promise to focus on what was really important – to accept the chaos that often goes with being a working Mum and to dedicate some truly special time to my daughter! I am having a tea party dedicated to Ava – but it’s a party just for two – my daughter and I. Thank you Sheye – for giving me some perspective. XXXX PS I will spread the word on my FB page.

Ava has changed the world ..your sister said something at Ava’s funeral..I cannot remeber the exact words but what i took from her words where.. like how the sun that shines has shined on ava, the moon we look at ava has looked at ,ava has breathed in the air that we breath in everyday, there are little parts of her everywhere.I was thinking about the photos I want to take soon of a tea party for Ava and I was thinking how 1 little girl is changing the world.. and how you sheye and crayton have given all of us your girl ,you’ve shared her story and Ava has become ours ..and how Bold and Brave that is to share her and let her change the world.. Tea parties are happening ,families are bonding ,preschools are talking, how many lives are being chnged and saved thru Ava..it no small thing sheye its Big really Big
    Love You

We had a tea party today in memory of your sweet daughter Ava. When the girls let their pink balloons fly, I couldn’t help but get teary eyed. Your strength is so inspiring and Ava’s memory lives on. Thank you for making us remember how very important it is to stop and enjoy these little moments with our sweet children. God bless you and your family.
