To my Sweet Ava- I love you so much. I hope you are having a fabulous birthday in Heaven. I hope you have found many friends, including our very own Fahris. Today we are remembering you and everything about you- with our own celebrations everywhere in the world. IN honor of you. So much has happened, I though I’d update you. First of all- your Mommy’s going to have another little girl or boy. (But, you probably already know that…) Ivy’s going to be a big sister, hopefully as good of one as you are. Sheye, I remember looking at the pictures of Ava when I heard about her passing quite a while ago. I thought how wonderful it is that you were able to capture her in these beautiful photos. Once a person is gone photos become one of the most cherished items we have left to remember them by. And yours were always so beautiful and expressed her essence. I can say that I remember thinking that I NEEDED to learn how to better use my camera, because I knew I needed to preserve the memories of my family. If they were to pass or I should I know that we are left with treasures that with just a glance of the picture would take back to that time again. I think about Ava often and she reminds me to better love my children and take more time to enjoy them. Thanks for sharing her life with all of us.

oh sheye…my heart still just breaks…it’s all still so very wrong. A similar accident just happened to a family here in Canada, their oldest child suffered a seizure in their vehicle, and they ran him into the house to take care of him, and forgot their toddler in the car. I am overwhelmed with sadness for them also…I just can’t imagine. Hopefully princess Ava is caring for their little one right now…my love to you all, and special hugs for today…the video is beautiful.

Kisses Sheye. Birthday months of our angels are so so hard. The more time that passes it does become bitter sweet. This is our 5th year without James on his birthday in June. We were finally able to remember and smile and cry just a little. We look forward to his day because it means cake for us and a chance to teach our little ones about their brother they never knew.
