Cloud-Dreaming

The bird flutters round us,
swift as light,
beauteous in color,
charming in song.

He flies through the chamber of content,
and brings sunshine into it,
and the violets on the humble table smell doubly sweet.

- The Phoenix, Hans Christian Andersen

A beautiful something to share today..

There’s a reason I’m sharing my phoenix in the sky…The super creative and oh-so-clever Fran has just launched her wonderful project,  “Cloud-Dreaming“.  Such a simple idea that really has added something special the ordinary moments in my day.  I love the little escapes that my cloud-dreams give..a sky full of stories..driving to school, lying on my bed, walking into the store, dreaming with my children..the endless possibilities that hover above.

To see some of the incredible stories other people have dreamed up, head over to the Cloud-Dreaming site….You can read all about the inspiration and participate with your own cloud-dreams, along with seeing what’s on offer for the sweet monthly give-aways.   It’s gorgeous, it’s open to everyone and even better, it’s free :)

Thank-you Fran, your beautiful idea makes a happy difference in my day.

xx Sheye

Heya Sheye…wow this is cool! I ‘cloud dream’ w/ my two girls all the time (even in the car when I’m supposed to be driving. I would’nt recommend this though, it’s far more fun, comfortable & umm ‘safe’ to do it whilst lying on the grass!). Today we saw a fox’s head….complete w/ fangs! Wonder what tomorrow brings? Btw love Fran’s site. Fab idea :) xx

This is beautiful! I moved to Seattle a few years ago and suddenly I have become so much more aware of the sky, especially when it is lovely to look at.

    Dear Sheye
My latest blog post will tell you that I am on a Hans Christian Anderson rediscovery and I was more than pleasantly surprised to see this post. I love finding synchronicity – it always gives me a good feeling and affirms that all is not lost.
Thank you for sharing beauty, good energy and thank you for caring.
    Alison

Wow Alison, I love synchronicity too. I adored Hans Christian Andersen as a child and still have the book I read daily. Your latest blog entry is so beautiful.
