I miss the “babiness” also. Every day that they wake up makes them one day older; and I am so very thankful for that, but so sad too. My babies are becoming young ladies. I knew it would happen, but I’m not ready.

This made me weep. It’s amazing how I pushed things; like potty training, moving to a big bed… with my first, but now, with my “baby”, she just might stay in her crib and in diapers until she’s 5!! Welllll, maybe not the diapers, but you know what I mean. Your post was so beautiful. You truly have an amazing way with your words and your photographs. What a lovely, lovely gift it is. xx

I feel your pain! My 4-yr-old is so grown, and most of the time I love it because it’s awesome to see her learn new things and do things on her own. But some days I just want to cry because she CAN do those things! I feel it worse with my 2 yr-old! Gosh I can’t wait to have more kids!

I often ask Amaya, who is 6 1/2 going on 32, what she has done with my baby. She always answers…she is right here momma and I get a big hug. They will always be our babies even if they are 4 or 64!

Even though we’ve never met, your words often cross my mind. Thank you for inspiring me to relish the joy of every moment.
