The Wonderfran and Bebe Leo.
If you’re a workshop participant, you’ve no doubt met Fran. Well her birth name is Fran, I know her as the WonderFran. We met via email some time back and then I was lucky enough to do a shoot for Fran and Poppy..just us three girls hanging out one gorgeous Gold Coast afternoon..you might recall I shared some pics back then.
Recently I had the joy of photographing her fresh bundle of joy, Leo. He not only has the cutest name on Earth, he’s astoundingly gorgeous too. I couldn’t not share him with you too.

that second portrait of the baby is one of the most beautiful baby portraits I have ever seen. :) wow. he looks extrememly trusting, safe and comfortable.

Vanessa, the first were pre Eye Candy and the 2nd were probably Hush only for the color and Vintage Wash Duotone with Hush (low opacity) on the b&w. They were shot on the 85mm 1.8 though which has beautiful skin tones SOOC so it helps :)

Lovely to “meet” little Leo, as I know that Molly and I fell in love with both Fran and the gorgeous Poppy!

There is nothing so nice as a freshly hatched baby. Especially if you didn’t have to do the hatching. They are all drowsy sweetness and soft, fragrant skin. Mmmm. Almost, ALMOST, makes me want another.

What beautiful pictures… And little Leo… He is so precious. Your pictures of him are making me realize how far from a little baby my youngest now is, and how much I would love to hold a teeny baby again.

Ohh, it is so nice to hear what name WonderFran picked for her baby boy. I know her forum post asking for suggestions in the last Explore Workshop group created lots of comments, advice, and stories about names. It was probably the most popular post. What is it about us girls that we love to think about baby names alot? I still do and I have definetly shut up shop (so to speak!). Lovely photos Sheye. His eyes in the shots are gorgeous and his name perfect to go with Poppy. Love Kyles :D

I have a question. I am interested in photograpthy especially taking pictures of precious children. I take pictures of my niece’s all the time. I want my pictures to be as beautiful as your one’s. Do you use a special program or a special camera to make those pictures sooo beautiful. I have always dreamed of doing photoshoots just like you do. Can I send you a few pictures of my niece, so you can see how I take pictures:)

Well these are just perfection of course :) I have looked a few times and haven’t known what to type – you know how I feel about all of these images. But just so everyone knows – besides the real things (and all the other living things I love so dearly, including my husband) there is nothing more I treasure than these images. Nothing. at. all. Poppy’s dress in the first pic is Big by Fiona Scanlan – I loved it so much I have bought it in three sizes for her :D. Her red spotty dress is Oobi with a Pumpkin Patch jacket over the top and the gorgeous wellies I got on ebay but I think they were Cotton On Kids? Leo’s gorgeous knit overalls are Fred Bare.

I love seeing in frames, I love the beauty in the ordinary, I love my camera, I love that when I see images I hear too.
