Sweetness and Light.

I know, I skipped a day.  Sometimes life-stuff just gets right in the way of Good Intentions.   I’ll try for an extra tomorrow!

With hot water bottle in my lap, Ivy’s cardigan around my neck and the heater sizzling beside me, this image feels positively taunting.

While I’m attempting the one-a-day photo challenge, I’ll also add to the mix some q & a’s.  It’s been a while.  I have some stored in email to share but feel free to add some extra questions here if you feel the urge!

   SInce you’re giving way to the question forum…I know from your previous post that you mostly use a 50mm and a 24-70mm is that with canon? or do you stray an go for sigma or third party lenses? Any other favorite lenses?

    sheye, i’m just loving your california pictures! ivy is so, so cute! and although i adore my jersey shore, i must make a visit to these lovely beaches sometime =)

    and a question, if i may! my love and eye for photography leads everyone around me to suggest i take it to the next level but i’m still very much in the learning process. i’ve done a few shoots outside of my friends and family but i’ve never accepted any money because i don’t feel as though my photos are exactly “professional quality”. so my question is, how did you make the jump from just enjoying/learning photography to doing it professionally as well?

    Here’s one. I don’t think you’ve answered this before, but I apologize if you have. Do you use the back-button combined with AI-Servo for focussing? Any tips on that? Thanks.

    My question for you Sheye.. when are you moving to SoCal?? Haha.. you know you want to! I think at least you should come back & do an in-person workshop! In Laguna Beach of course. ;)

I would really like to see a photo straight out of your camera and then the same photo after you have ‘photo shopped it’. Thanks

    Holy Cow, I love this so much! Um, this is probably a little ambiguous, but, would love to know how you organise your time?? I am always keen (nosy?) to know how other photographers organise their days, especially the afternoons and evenings. I love the light of late afternoon but in my life right now this is meal time for my little crazy people.

    That is a great question from Bethany. I would love to know, if you would like to share. I know that those things can be nice to keep to yourself though, so completely understand.
