Salt Beach
I bribed her. I told her if she put the tutu on, if she wore the pink knee socks and the clips in her hair..if she gave me just five minutes with the camera and the golden light and the ocean then I would take her for a treat.
And she did it. In the sand, with tutu alight, she danced and ran and spun. And I got those photos.
But I got these too.
And I love them more.

This made me get all choked up. She is unfathomably precious. I will go to the “salt beach” for you tomorrow and take images of my little girls. May their spirits soar in the southern California sun.
Their hair is the same….it stuns me everytime, but I love it.

I’m so glad your lovely posts are back! These are so beautiful and carefree and capture childhood brilliantly. I agree with Tara though – it’s a bit torturous having to wait to see your lovely pictures – but I also feel like it’s Christmas with an advent calender and the promise of a new picture to look at every day which is exciting!
