Walkin’ After Midnight.
That’s what I’ve been doing this week..walking well and truly after midnight. It’s the only way to Get Stuff Done. I’m considering starting a movement…the Secret Sleepless Society. I know my web design guru Brian will be first in line..along with Krysta and Kate who also think sleep is inconvenient. And my Mum, she’d be a founding member. The problem with sleep deprived people, they never shut up about needing sleep. I annoy myself, I do.
Okay, so the week that was.. My gorgeous friends Lea & Chris had a flying visit from Sydney and I got to meet their beautiful, fresh baked boy, Isaac.
The same day Kate came round and together we inspected my new photoprop chair..I endured much complaining from my husband to acquire this thrift shop beauty..
On Sunday we visited Fran & Family (who Candy Workshop people know well by now!) and played around with lighting..Well actually, we worked. Fran’s overgrown kid, DJ, played around. Here’s him.
Fran said she’d kill me if I showed these so if I show them little, she might just kill me a little bit.
Apologies to those people (like most of everyone I know) who think I’ve been abducted this past fortnight. I really am well, alive and umm, sleep deprived :)

LOVING, loving that baby session!! What beautiful light, beautiful baby, and beautiful parents! :D
-
As always, the beauty of your photo’s take my breath away.
Lovely.P.S. I hear you on the sleep deprivation. It’s all okay though, my next life I am going to be a cat.

I’ve accepted I’m an insomniac and always will be:) It’s all cool. The Dr who delivered Annika (a wonderful Chinese ob/gyn) told me he slept 3 hours a night. He said the ‘smarter your brain, the more it works and less sleep you need’. :))) {Love your beautiful photos more and more each day} Vxx

I don’t sleep much either and it’s not for a lack of trying…when I wasn’t working I was the biggest night owl, very hard habit to break. I loved staying up when everyone else was asleep got so much done (or not) :) Mum, Dad and baby are gorgeous. Lovely photos as always. I hope you’re not going to insane with all your projects. Get some sleep, it will eventually catch up with you and you’ll fall flat on your pretty face!
-
you are the most lucky lady in the world to take those sleepless nights and make them so beautiful! i am convinced though, that everything that comes in contact with you, becomes beautiful!!! can’t wait for eyecandy to get back:) hang in there, girly!

I’m still waiting for you come out with the sequel to the Eye Candy Workshops….the Shut Eye Workshops: Everything You Ever Needed To Know About How To Be A Successful Sleeper. No? Well, a girl can dream.
Love love the baby session and Miss Kate looks gorgeous as always! Now, would you or would you not say that the cupcakes were as good as the real deal?? Props to Mason for licking that bowl like a champ!

So is this going to turn into a “you blog a pic of me, I blog a pic of you” thing? :p
Beautiful honey as always. If we’re starting a sleepless society I think membership should come with complimentary cucumber slices and cups of tea. Oh and Mersyndol. :) xo

UGH! You’ve made me tried just reading all that. It’s my bedtime now. Don’t work too hard. Oh…love the chair.

my mom makes it for my birthday– which is in 4 days so im very excited!
I just wanted to say, I mentioned you in one of my most recent blogs, I hope you don’t mind…
You and your family, are so beautiful– in every possible way.

Your work is so very beautiful.
I wonder, when you’re feeling a little more rested, would you consider doing a tutorial about how to capture the light and sunflare so perfectly? I aspire to photos like yours, but I just can’t crack it!
Mim xx

I’ve never ever heard of red velvet cupcakes (except on your blog). Can you buy them in Oz or are they from another country?? Must try.
-
Hang in there I am sure sleep deprivation leads to inspiration from crazy places.
Such beautiful pics

After midnight works for me. Amazing how much production increases in direct proportion to the number of children who are sleeping! Maybe it’s just our house, where Miss Abby’s determination to undo anything I do far exceeds my will power to redo it.
What lovely people! Kids, grownups, goofy grownups.

Sheye, all of the photos are so precious! I love the Mommy & baby with the vintage cradle and Ivy enjoying the cupcake. I was the undainty one myself as a little girl (hmmm, and now too!). I walk after midnight too : ) Or else how would I get anything done?

Can I be a part of the movement? I am sleep deprived most of the time. Too much worrying…..

Stunning photographs!!! You are so unbelievably talented, girl! =) Have a very happy Wednesday (or Thursday where you are?)!

Oh hon I am a walker after midnight as well. After feeding Isaac I find myself unpacking the dishwasher, putting on a load of washing or some other mind numbing task. All just to be that one step ahead when the tribe wakes in the morning.
You know how much we loved coming to see you, our gorgeous pics will be cherished always. Not just for the precious memories but because you took them for us. It was fabulous to see you again & to meet Kate. The hours flew by too fast, I so wasn’t ready to leave you, Ivish, the champagne & gossip behind!!!
Love you

Aren’t you just an amazing woman Sheye! What a busy post you have shared with us and the amount of pictures, we were lucky this time round!
Lea & Chris & their new little man is absolutely gorgeous and you made them all look stunning (which none of them need help with!) Don’t they just look so in love! The cradle picture has to be a favorite, hands down.
I absolutely adore all of your pictures Sheye….
I’m always walking after midnight, the quietness is so peaceful though, I love doing things on my own when everyone else is dreaming…

Gorgeous images Sheye!
I’m curious about the one of the chair though.
Were you on a ladder?
Did you climb a tree?!
-
I have a 3 year old who has yet to sleep through the night, and an 10 month old who still wakes up 3 times a night! So I hear you on the sleep deprivation AND the incessant complaining about needing sleep…
I love this post. I was laughing out loud at the pictures of the tea party…the “Undainty One” of Ivy just nearly made me fall out of my chair. Beautiful…all of them. May the sleep fairies be with us all!
-
I’ve been looking, waiting for a new post. I just love your images, your stories, your children, they remind me so much of my own. Thank you so much for sharing!
