It just wouldn’t be Easter here if it didn’t include torrential rain.  The kids loved it, making huge mud puddles and collecting worms.  Me, I just feared  they’d be washed downhill or lost under a falling tree.  (You can see one in the background that caved under the weight of the rain).

And of course it’s now all sun shiney with birds a twitter while I’ll be indoors for the day, tackling a week that seems a little insurmountable.  And, I’m doing it sugar-free, mind you.  Where for art thou, beloved Buttersnap?

Hey Sheye..I’ve been sugar-free for 2 years…the first 2 weeks were hard but after that the cravings went away. You’ll be amazed at how delicously sweet fruit is after sugar leaves your life! Being free from sugar’s energy zapping highs and lows is a beautiful thing…Best of luck!

Good luck with the sugar free! I’m slowing weening myself off sugar. Her bathing suit is adorable! Easter is usually rainy for us too, but its too cold to go out and dance in it lol

    of course, amazing.

no sugar the day after easter should be some type of crime.

that girl is simply too much

Holy cow! Look at that tree! Was it yours?
Love the colors in this photo! Ahhh…warm rainy days. ( Just around the corner for me.) “I’m singing in the rain. Just singing in the rain.” Have you introduced Miss Ivy or the boys to that musical?
She is too cute! Have a great Wednesday…what’s left of it.

OH MY GOODNESS!!! Ivy is truly delish. She looks way too cute in that bathing suit jumping around in the rain. You must simply stare at her all day long. How do you get anything else done? That tree looks pretty darn big! Glad no one was hurt.

    Much love from NJ,

We were getting a little over the rain also! Have to say though it has helped our dams fill back up! Envious of Ivy playing out in the rain, Amber usually loves doing that also, didn’t get a chance this Easter! Why do people always go camping over Easter lol, it always rains! Enjoy the sunshine and I don’t know how your doing the whole no sugar thing, I keep telling myself that only a couple of Easter Eggs won’t hurt, will they lol??????

  13. Melinda says:

I want that umbrella. It is divine. Deeeeviiinnneee! It poured here the day after Easter and yesterday too. Just as I was leaving the office for J.T.’s school play. Which meant I was a vision in damp dress and frizzy hair. Luckily, everyone was there to see the children and not medusa.

Does no sugar mean NO CHOCOLATE TOO!? You are one brave woman.

Talented and brave. Sheye, you take the most gorgeous photos, and your “models” are always charming and beautiful! Now about this no sugar thing, I am wondering WHY? Why would you want to do this to yourself? I understand the need to limit sugar, and go for a few days sans any at all–but is this a lifestyle change? A forever thing? Oh the horrors!! You, my dear, and the poster Stephanie, are brave beyond words. =)

Wow, again. Love, love that photo of Ivy stomping puddles. It looks like she is dancing in the rain – lovely. And kudos to you for trying to give up sugar. I am an addict. In fact, I am eating chocolate peanut m&ms as I type this. Yes, it IS 9 o’clock in the morning. ;)

I simply cannot believe you have decided to go sugar free … crazy girl. We got so much torrential rain here in Gympie that it flooded the local bridge and we were almost completely cut off from civilisation. If you don’t believe me check out my FB album lol. Declan’s sandpit (in progress) is a mud pit and we are learning the importance of drainage that drains properly. Thank god for my best friend and his PS3 visiting or I’m pretty sure I would have gone nuts over Easter with everyone cooped up inside. The rain simply did not let up here all extra long weekend.
