Inspiration Abounds.
The last three months have included an awful lot of time on my computer each day, and well into many nights. I think this is the reason that today I’m so inspired by all things tactile. I was sent a link today to Heather Baileys site and I swear came over all shaky seeing so much gorgeousness at once.
I don’t want to use Heathers products, I just want to be Heather. I cannot sew. I don’t scrap. Craft and I do not meet once a week. I’m just useless with anything that requires patience and being meticulous. I won’t focus on that though, I’m now yearning to spend time creating prettyness in a non digital format and if anyone will inspire me to do it, Heather is my girl.
Here’s just a little of what had me gasping today. Isn’t it purty?
And something else that inspired me today – this incredible slideshow from photographer, Phillip Toledano, that one of my workshop participants shared. So touching, so worth watching.

What slide show was amazing. I really don’t even have words for it. beautiful.
Watched the slide show – Bawled!
Beautiful, thanks for sharing
Your right Sheye! They are soo colorful and pretty! I’m so in love with that jacket!
Sheye – slideshow was very moving – brought me instantly back to the final few months with my Mom – incredibly difficult time. Just hit me right square in the heart.
Heather Bailey – so not fair to have that much talent and creativity in one body and mind. My mom sewed and made some beautiful things as I was growing up, she knitted too, crocheted, she was quite talented in the sewing department. The colors and fabrics they have now are just stunning, who wouldn’t want to sew after seeing them!!!
Love, Denisexx
hiya, s:)
i love all that is pink…
and all who are old.
thank you for sharing a little of both.
love,
dani
touching slide show…
and heather bailey. isn’t her stuff amazing? it’s like getting candy whenever i see a new post.
and i can so relate to the … “i just want to be heather.” comment. i’ve felt the same way. i would love to be able to see colors and patterns the way that she does. just for a day.
then again…maybe i do. i just don’t take the time to explore them.
Heather Bailey is one of my faves!! Have you checked out Anna Maria Horner as well – absolutely drool worthy. http://www.annamariahorner.com :o)

This slideshow is amazing. Philip’s blog brings me to tears every time and reminded me to take more photos of my grandmother…not just of her but all the little details that make her my grandma.
Sheye–isn’t that slideshow amazing? It makes me want to capture adults with their parents.
I, too, long to be a crafter…sometimes I attempt, but I can never keep my focus there for too long ;)
That slide show was the most incredible tribute I have ever seen. The pictures were amazing!! Breathtaking. Thank you for sharing Sheye. : )
Sheye-
That slide show is incredible…so touching and lovely. I had my husband watch it, and then e-mailed it to my daughter. EVERYONE should see it!
One funny part…I fell in love with the lambie eye mask that the man was wearing in one of the photos. It cracked me up. I found it on e-bay and bought one today!
I’m so glad that I live in an age where I’m not responsible for sewing anything. My family would be naked. But I can admire the pretty here. So lovely.
Oh Sheye, that slideshow was so very touching & so beautifully done! Heather Bailey wow… so wish I could be like that :)
thank you for sharing such lovely things (i want that pin cushion!). the slideshow is heartbreaking and beautiful all at once.

Hi, You don’t know me but I easily get trapped into looking at photography blogs for hours and I came across yours the other day. Man I wish someone around here would do workshops like you do. I love photography and I am trying to figure it out but some real live workshops would be so helpful. Also I wanted to say that your little girls story has affected me alot. I’m not kidding when I say I cried myself to sleep the last 4 nights. All those beautiful pictures really illustrate her sweet innocent whimsical beauty. I’ve held my babies closer ever since. I would love to send Ava a pink and sparkly christmas gift if it’s ok to get one from a stranger. That is an awesome idea. My email is isonjill@lavadrop.com. Ps- I too want to be Heather Bailey. I live near her and just keep hoping to run into her some day.
love your song and your blog design.
Jill

I love Heather Bailey and as Keren said, if you like her, you’ll like Anna Maria too.
The slideshow is just amazing.
