Being Amazed, Being Amazing.

I’m Amazed.  Really and truly, I am.  There have not been a few people offering to send decorations for Ava..nor a couple of dozen.  No.  There have been dozens of dozens of beautiful people who have asked to send all manner of things -sparkly, pink, hand-made, shop-found, princess-worthy.  To say I am touched is so nothing.  To actually feel like I’m looking forward to Christmas and feel like so many are remembering her.  To know she is just. plain. missed.   How can I explain what that means?  I can’t.  I’m amazed.

From the bottom of my humbled, happy heart, thankyou.

And speaking of amazing, you know I have to post a photo so here’s Mr Mason taken the other week in Townsville.  He’s such a beautiful boy, you can’t imagine how affectionate and loving this child is.  Apart from that one moment earlier tonight when he called Ivy  a “grossling”.  I suppose that’s not so loving.

Dramatic, demanding, loud.   He’s those things too but most of all, he’s a whole lot of amazing.

S xx

Sheye, your photography is awe inspiring. It’s no wonder Mason’s adorable and amazing because he’s like his mummy! I’m so thrilled you think you’re looking forward to Christmas. That in itself is a.m.a.z.i.n.g…. Warms my heart. My daughter lovessss the picture of Ava. We look at it every time she wakes. Right now she’s infatuated with the shoes and Ava “jumping” :) but when she gets a little older she’ll know the whole story of your Amazing Ava and love her like I do.

    Much love from New Jersey

Dramatic, demanding and loud…that sounds like my youngest son. All those traits as a young boy, have turned him into a sensitive, fine young adult. We work together, and I am always so proud to say, “this is my son”.
Your Mason is darling! He looks very full of life.
I can’t wait for your packages to start arriving. To be able to do something for your family is such an honor.

Hmmmm….Dramatic, Demanding and Loud. Sounds oh so familiar – my 2nd boys is EXACTLY the same and he’s not even 2 yet!

I’ve been trying to work out what sort of decoration I can make, Sheye….but everything I come up with hardly seems worthy. I’ll come up with something, I promise.

    Hi

Well I feel like a I am delivering mail to friends! I wanted to share this poem that was given to me by my Great Aunt when my son died, it had been given to her when her son died! I have found comfort in the words over the years, and hope that you may also!

“I’ll lend you for a little time”

    I’ll lend you for a little time, a child of mine He said;
For you to love the while she lives and mourns for when she’s dead.
It may be six or seven years, or twenty two or three,
But will you till I call her home, take care of her for me?
She’ll bring her charms to gladden you and should her stay be brief,
You’ll have her lovely memories, as solace for your grief.

I can not promise she will stay, since all from earth return,
But there are lessons taught down there, I want this child to learn,
I’ve looked the wide world over, in my search for teachers true,
and from the throngs that crowd life’s lanes, I have selected you!
Now will you give her all your love?
    Nor think the labor vain,
Nor hate me when I come to call, to take her home again.

I fancied that I heard them say:
“Dear Lord Thy Will be done,
For all the joy the child shall bring, the risk of grief we’ll run,
    Well shelter her with tenderness,
We’ll love her while we may, and for the happiness we’ve known,
    Forever grateful stay”
But should the angles call her much sooner than we’ve planned,
We’ll have the bitter grief that comes
    and try to understand.

    god Bless Shi~

Your boy looks like he know how to have a good time!

What a great idea Denise! I will hang something on my tree too – for Ava. I’m also going to try my hands at making my ornament that will travel to your doorstep, Sheye…but I’m no artist. It WILL, however, be made with much love for your darling girl and your beautiful family.
