Randomness.

In keeping with my rather addled brain this week life, I don’t have a clear topic of discussion today.  Just randomness.

Happiness:  This image taken by Kate – thankyou clever girl.

Lovliness:  This dress up costume from Tiny People.  I desperately want to do a shoot with it which means I desperately want a client to buy it.  Anyone?  (Image by Kelly Roper Photography).

Excitedness:  Going to Townsville at the end of this month to see my girl, Jen.

Oddness: This.  I didn’t think you could go wrong with anything Wizard of Oz.   That poor dog looks positively distressed.

Gorgeousness:  Being two.

The Austin Event.

So, last weekend was the party.  You know, the one Ivy did not stop talking about from the moment that invitation arrived, a week prior.  The one Kate and I spent hours prowling around Spotlight for.  (I think she took me to help but I just got distracted and bought a sticker maker, some spotty plates and ribbon made from French linen).   That same party that marked Cassy-Dee’s becoming of four.

There’s an obvious problem with taking your children to parties where the serviettes match the cupcakes and the party bags are custom decorated noodle boxes.. At some stage, they might just think their own mother could, should or would pull off something equally as insane impressive. It’s not going to happen.  Unless of course these parties take place at the Austins.

Here’s some snaps:

The birthday girl with Martha herself.

A disgruntled guest finding out the marshmallows really do run out.

Forced to make do with the classic Australian party essential:  Jatz.

Here’s a ring-in, making himself more than comfortable.

Heart shaped cupcakes.  (I like to refer to them as Motherguilt On A Tray).

Do you think I could get away with telling Ivy this was in fact her party in years to come?

Eye Candy Update

Today marks the end of the first Eye Candy Explore Workshop.   It’s hard to believe it’s been four weeks already and it’s been amazing to meet such an enthusiastic group of girls who were so supportive and encouraging of each other – we really have had a great time and all feel a bit sad the end has come.   Thankyou so much to every one of you who participated.

The Evolve workshop is due to start around the 20th October and over the next 24 hours, I’ll be sending out an email to every participant, please let me know if you haven’t received yours asap.   I’ve had so many requests in recent days about more Explore and Evolve workshops..The plan at this stage is that Explore will run again early next year – registration will open around Oct/Nov.     Once Evolve has finished, I’ll update re the possibility of another next year as well.   If you’ve sent a direct expression of interest and not heard back yet, don’t worry, I have you all safely put away on file.

Thankyou to all for the interest, enthusiasm and support.  I feel truly blessed.
