Eye Candy Update
Today marks the end of the first Eye Candy Explore Workshop. It’s hard to believe it’s been four weeks already and it’s been amazing to meet such an enthusiastic group of girls who were so supportive and encouraging of each other – we really have had a great time and all feel a bit sad the end has come. Thankyou so much to every one of you who participated.
The Evolve workshop is due to start around the 20th October and over the next 24 hours, I’ll be sending out an email to every participant, please let me know if you haven’t received yours asap. I’ve had so many requests in recent days about more Explore and Evolve workshops..The plan at this stage is that Explore will run again early next year – registration will open around Oct/Nov. Once Evolve has finished, I’ll update re the possibility of another next year as well. If you’ve sent a direct expression of interest and not heard back yet, don’t worry, I have you all safely put away on file.
Thankyou to all for the interest, enthusiasm and support. I feel truly blessed.

I’ve always wondered – who decided which is weeds and which is a proper, respectable plant? We have huge fields of Patterson’s Curse nearby and that’s a weed (a much hated weed too apparently). I can’t wait to shoot the kids in it! Think of the field of poppies near the Land of Oz (except in purple:-D..)
-
That is a little clover flower – bunnies love them and bees! They are considered weeds. It’s the most beautiful photo of a weed I’ve ever seen!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you Sheye again and again, it’s been so fun. I didn’t get to do the self portrait but that’s because I proscrastinate like no other and I think I was trying to produce some fantastic amazing photo when I probably should’ve just concentrated on simple and easy. All in all, fantastic.
-
Vanessa – I think it’s based on rate of growth and conditiosn- weeds grow no matter what no rain no sun no care and annuals and perennials need rain, sun and care.

Add me to your list of people who would LOVE to do EVOLVE

You are blessed because you are so talented and because you have such a giving heart – I can feel that when I read your words. It is awesome to be willing to share that talent to make others better – and to donate the money to such a worthy cause. I am so impressed.

A common idiom is “to be in clover”, meaning to be living a carefree life of ease, comfort, or prosperity.
I suppose, if a person could “be in clover”…it would be nice for them. The rest of us could only fantasize, lol.
Thanks for a wonderful workshop, Sheye. I am excited about Evolve.

I would love to do your next workshop Sheye!

What camera/lens do you use?? I love your work. It is very inspirational! What camera would you suggest for a beginner?
-
Hi Stacey – Sheye uses a Canon 5D and a variety of lenses including a 24-70 2.8 (which I so badly want!!)

Well Sheye I’ve sung your praises in our little forum a trillion times and I can’t stop raving about how magical and fabulous this course was. I learnt so so much about cameras, lenses, photography, photoshop, gained a whole bunch of new friends and got to view their amazing talents and work. Now I cannot wait for Evolve…..its opened a whole new world for me and I absolutely love photography.
Thank you muchly with lots of love and squishes

Seriously if you didn’t do Explore then you need to. I’ve just had the best month. I bought my first SLR over 8 years ago and then upgraded to DSLR just over 2 years ago. Mountains of books and reading later and I still just didn’t get it, I only shot in Auto. A week into Explore and I am shooting in Manual. Sheye just has a way with words and this transferred through to her Study notes in Explore. She just made it click. Not only this but having the ability to have a group of Women on hand to discuss Photography issues was just fantastic. I fell in love with Sheye’s photography years ago and just to have her insight into this wonderful Art was beyond my wildest dreams.
Thank you once again.

Dear Sheye,
I can’t thank you enough for putting together your FABULOUS Eye Candy Explore Workshop! Although I was unable to participate on the forum as much as I would have liked to, I learned so much through your easy to understand materials. My packet of Explore info will be referred to often and I will have you to thank for all of the lovely memories of my kids I am able to capture with photos to share with family and friends.
I am in the process of looking for a new camera for the start of Evolve and hope to be able to participate more.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

Hi Sheye,
although I was rather absent from the workshop over the last half due to other commitments, I was busy reading, reading, reading every spare moment I got!! I have learned so much more than I had ever hoped! Having a great time & forming connections with a great bunch of women from around the globe was such an unexpected bonus too!! I will never be able to thank you enough, you are a real treasure ( :
Please pop me down on your Evolve list for next year. Hopefully I will have a lot more time on my hands by then to get as much out of it as I can now anticipate getting!
Many, many thanks Sheye.
