Guca, Buca, and Luca. {Boy Of A Thousand Names}
I’m not doing so well in the blogging stakes this week, am I? Life is just too, too busy. Still, I’m really enjoying having the office where I can get a lot done in a short time and be able to foucs on home stuff when I’m well, home. It’s been a good change. I will post some photos of my little space as soon as it’s looking all pretty.
Actually, Kate did come to help with decor type things the other night but we managed to set off the security alarm four times in the process. After having to flee down the 80 meter hallway with a horrendously loud screamer/screecher/howler device thingy going off and expecting the SAS to jump out any moment, we were a little too adrenalin filled to try hanging curtains.. We’ll attempt it again soon, with the security pin number handy this time.
Thought I’d share some boy pics..Mr Luca collecting berries and last weekend while waiting to meet a friend for fishing..Turns out we were waiting on a pier about 3 suburbs from where his friend was. I never was good at directions, espescially when it comes to piers. That’s manstuff.

LOL! Here I am, answering :p
I use a Canon 5D and for these shots, the first were on the 50mm 1.4 and the 2nd lot were on the 24-70 2.8.
I use a mix of my own actions and those of Itty Bitty and Totally Rad at the moment.

I often click from post to post and marvel at how your pictures capture the beauty, the innocence and the changes of your children. You’ve got a really handsome boy there Sheye.
Odd perhaps, but I really like the second picture a lot because… it reminds me of Christmas with all the reds and that hunch of green. (I suppose you’ve guessed by now that I’m a sucker for Christmas time :)

Luca is so handsome, Sheye! LOVE the photos! My son just turned 12 a month ago and all of a sudden, I see the MAN starting to emerge from within the boy…. do you know what I mean? It’s wonderful, but at the same time very bittersweet.

Like so many others I sort of “stumbled” onto your blog. I was at first so intrigued and amazed at your photos of your beautiful children. I then went on to read the words, and my heart has definitely been touched by your story, photos, and beautiful, beautiful spirit.
I have a 2 and 1/2 year old little boy,Kekoa,who is my absolute joy in life. Like any mommy I have taken millions of photos of him! I took a photography class in college and been intrigued by it ever since, only with no real action. You’ve inspired me to follow a passion and to not take not just nice pictures of him,but make gorgeous memories!I’d love any suggestions on where to start….be it starter equipment, or classes =)

Ahhh! You answered! That 24-70 has been the subject of many of my dreams recently. For real, I’m literally dreaming about lenses!! Now I have even more reason to pick it up.
I love those actions…I also really like the Kevin Kubota actions. You should put your actions out there on the market…I’d buy them. : )
