Bright and shiny things.
A good week lies ahead..
We’re getting together our ideas for the renovation – I love thumbing through my big old folder of tatty magazine pages that I’ve sighed over for months now – I’m so excited to see it all starting to come together. We have some really special ideas for “Ava’s Garden”..I can’t wait to share them when we’re finally finished. (Or am I deluding myself that there is actually ever a finish with renovating??)
Kate, Fran and I are heading off to PMA later in the week – should be interesting as I’ve never been before. Nothing like a whole exhibition hall filled with all things photo.. Bliss!
Jen arrives on the weekend for a flying visit..It’s never long enough but I can’t wait to just hang out for a night and catch up side by side.
And, honestly, I’m just loving every single day with Ivy at the moment..Not that I don’t always love all the days with all my three but she’s particularly gorgeous right now..saying lots of clever things and being very cute and bossy all at once.. I’m actually looking foward to her non-kindy days this week! Here she is in the garden the other afternoon..I love the flounce off in the last one.

Red Polka Dots make me think of Ivy, as pink is to Ava.
I see them and she flashes before my eye’s. She is so loveable. I still maintain you may have to do lend out’s for me.

I think the cardigan you’re referring to is an Oilily one that was way too small for Ava but she insisted on wearing it! Has it got a bit of blue in it too? It is beautiful – Oilily and Cakewalk do amazing cardis and sweaters.

I’m with you on the kindy days off.
Logan loves Wednesdays afternoons because he finishes at 1.30 and has mum to himself. He wants to go shopping every time though so I have to make sure there’s something I need from Safeway. He’s very disappointed otherwise.

Can I tell you what you’ve done? I am a married mom of 4 soon to be 5 kids. They range from 15~4 years old and our 5th child is 8 years old waiting for us in China. My husband and I are self employed together 24/7 I am constantly cleaning, cooking, laundry, scheduling and at the end of the day berating myself for what I haven’t done or accomplished. Well tomorrow I promise to live different. I promise to love my family like I won’t have tomorrow. Your postings are so eloquent and transparent I have learned that the simplest things in life is just the smiles and the laughter and at the end of our day I want my kids to say today my mom loved with me all she had. I pray for you and your family. Your loss is unbearable. Just know that your little Ava and her memory has reached a little town in Indiana and scouts honor I plan to have more and more Ava moments with my children and take in every second of every minute of every day with each of them.
