Souls Intertwined.

This amazing gift arrived yesterday. From an amazing person I have never met. I have taken a few of the beautiful words on her card to share and show just why her package left me speechless..(Apart from the “Oh Gosh” that kept falling from my mouth… So much so that every time Ivy sees the bracelet now, she says “Oh Gosh” too!) Since putting it on, every time I look down at my hand, I imagine Ava holding it.
Sweet, sweet K. Thankyou.

    Dear Sheye,

I’ve admired your blog for so long but I have never commented until now. Getting to know your family through your passionate words and beautiful photos, especially sweet Ava, has been a true gift to my life.

By sharing your lovely heart and your terribly tragic experience of losing Ava, you have helped me become a more loving, tolerant, and grateful mom.

Thank you for sharing her magic with us in blog land.

**I love the song “You are my sunshine” that is playing during this post, do you mind sharing who is singing it? I want to put it on my daughter’s ipod for Valentine’s Day.

May your days be filled with blessings and happiness and your nights be filled with wonderful dreams of Princess Ava…..

Sheye – I have never commented on your blog – but have been reading it too along with so many others. It is beautiful. I too lost my daughter in November 2006, she had just graduated from college and was 23. We also lost her husband after only 18 months of marriage. They were so happy together. She said she would never, ever leave him, and she didn’t. You are never prepared for the phone call that comes when they tell you there’s been an accident. My daughter and her husband were fishing in a lake in Utah when a freak storm blew in and sunk their small boat. They were in 40 degree water and actually died from hypothermia and then drowning. It took the search and rescue team 9 days to find them. There are some great things that came of their search – there were 3 others whose bodies were found during that search – and whose families after years and years of their loved one being in the lake, having some closure. I to this day, hate to be cold now, because I think of her and how cold she and her husband must have been. There were two others in the small boat with them, who actually swam in the water for over 2 hours to make it to shore. It is because of their miraculous lives being saved, that we even know what happened. We are sure of our Heavenly Father’s love and know that our son-in-law and daughter are together in Heaven watching us grow. It is hard and the grief is overcoming occasionally, but the peace we have is amazing also. What prompted me to tell you my story in short – was the bracelet you were given. I too was given a bracelet by a very, very dear friend of mine – it is a charm bracelet tho, and it has a charm representing many of the things my daughter did and loved in life. There is a charm of a book – she loved LOVED to read and wanted to open a Literacy place to help others have her joy. There is a flute charm, a sneaker charm – representing her love of running, softball, volleyball, track, basketball, all of which she was very good at and played in high school. There is a an Eifle Tower charm – she did a study abroad for a semester in Paris while in college, there is a flower charm from Hawaii where she and her husband went on their honeymoon and some others. It means so much to me. I miss my daughter so much – and always will, but I know she is happy in heaven too – and that I will see her again someday. I have six children, she is child #4. My family didn’t want me to read your blog because they don’t like to have me be sad, but I am so impressed with your gift of expression. You are enlightening and uplifting in all you write. Thank you! LynnEl

That is truly one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever read…and what a special gift fo ryo to remember Ava. I bought some of the beautiful artwork from belle and boo….and we think of Ava, too, even though we never knew her. She will be in our hearts forever… My daughter loves to be called a Super Princess, too. I hope you don’t mind…. The phrase just “fits”, and it’s beautiful. Thank you for the wonderful post, again!

    Hi Vickey
Sorry, I should have posted this here right away..Here’s Krystas reply!

They are by an artist named Pam Kehoe Peterson (www.pamkehoepeterson.com) It looks like you can order right on her website or she can order through Third Ward Jewelers. (414) 289-0886. It looks like they are cheaper through the website though so I would try there first.

    Cheers Vickey!
