Raining Joy.

Yesterday it began teaming with rain..As always, Mason began pleading to be allowed run around outside.. This has been a non stop activity over the last week and being so tired of all the washing this habit brings about, I said “Mason! Why do we have to do this every time?” and he replied “Because Mum it’s raining joy”. Oh, truly, I almost pushed him out the front door! I don’t know how he does it but he manages to find the perfect answer every time and I’m putty in his hands :)

A short while later I roamed out myself and was astounded to see the sky had turned pink. Really, really pink. And then, just to make it perfectly perfect, along came a rainbow. It wasn’t until I uploaded I realised it was a double one :) The pink hue you see under the rainbow stretched it’s way across the whole sky until it turned dark. Just beautiful.

You’re probably so tired of me saying thankyou every single post but how can I not? I’m so overwhelmed, still, at the kindness that finds me every day… Thankyou thankyou thankyou. And that won’t stop me saying thankyou tomorrow either :)

Wow Sheye – I read about the pink sky in the last lot of comments, but that is really really pink sky!!! (Are you sure there is no camera trickery going on???:-)) How stunning. I know that you’re been drenched up there over the past few months – but if Mason feels it is raining joy, I just hope it keeps on pouring!

  6. Sheye Rosemeyer says:

No Nat! I meant to say, no trickery whatsoever. I was careful not to adjust the pink when I proofed, I wanted to show it just as it was :)
I even rang Dad and said “umm, what is with the sky? Does it mean anything like hail or a storm or something?” LOL.

Sheye, I first witnessed this sky on my daughter’s blog. I left a comment there and will do the same on yours if I may. I could not believe the beauty of that beautiful pink sky. It immediately reminded me of your precious Ava. It is God and Ava thanking all the special people that sent pink balloons, lit a candle and offered their prays for yourself, your family and of course the most loved Super princess Ava.
I often wish I could take and share some of your pain so as to make yours a little more bearable but all I can do is pray for God to give you strength and know that your beautiful girl is constantly remembered and thought of in all our day to day thoughts the world over. XXOOxxoo

    Hi Sheye,
I am an ametur photographer and scrapbooker that lives in Brisbane.
I’ve been visiting your site everyday for the past week and I don’t believe I could cry any more than I already have. You totally inspire me in everyway – your stunning photography, your words of love and appreciation and most of all your strength. As I tracked back through your blog and read about Ava, it all of a sudden came to me that I remembered her accident.I want you to know that I have thought of you and your family many times throughout this past year. I visited Ava’s memoral site yesterday and lit a candle for her from our little family. I think it’s wonderful that you can write about her on your blog. I love to read about the things she enjoyed and the beautiful personality she had. She will never be forgotten and your family will never be forgotten by us.

I wish you all the best.
    Have a great day.

    Sheye,
Today I was having my hair done and my hairdresser Em is having a baby girl. Her Auntie was there and we were all talking about girl names etc. Her Auntie mentioned that she loved the name Ava and we all ooohed and aahed and I said yes, that name is so feminine and beautiful..it reminds me of the color pink…and my heart skipped a beat and I thought of you and your sweet Ava…and I just had to smile thinking of her smile and her princessness and all things sunshine, pink, and princecess. ANd then I saw your pink sky just now and it took my breath away with the rainbows there too. God’s blessings to you today Sheye and for your family also. Your little guy sounds like a complete heart melting experience. Rainbow smiles and pink to your heart today :)

“When it rains it pours and opens doors
And floods the floors we thought would always keep us safe and dry
And in the midst of sailing ships we sink our lips into the ones we love
    That have to say goodbye

And as I float along this ocean
I can feel you like a notion that won’t seem to let me go

Cause when I look to the sky something tells me you’re here with me
    And you make everything alright
And when I feel like I’m lost something tells me you’re here with me
And I can always find my way when you are here

And every word I didn’t say, caught up in some busy day
And every dance on the kitchen floor we didn’t have before
And every sunset that we’ll miss I’ll wrap them all up in a kiss
And pick you up in all of this when I sail away

And as I float along this ocean
I can feel you like a notion that will never leave

Cause when I look to the sky something tells me you’re here with me
    And you make everything alright
And when I feel like I’m lost something tells me you’re here with me
And I can always find my way

Whether I am up or down or in or out or just plane overhead
Instead it feels like it is impossible to fly
But with you I can spread my wings
to see me over everything that life may send me
When I am hoping it won’t pass me by

And when I feel like theres no one that will ever know me
there you are to show me

When I look to the sky something tells me you’re here with me
    And you make everything alright
And when I feel like I’m lost something tells me you’re here with me
And I can always find my way when you are here”

My Precious Sheye. What a gift from Ava. Every part of me believes that she is pointint to that and saying, “look mum, I am still here, I am sooo very close and as beautiful and pink as ever.” Sheye, she watches over you guys. She is part of you forever. She is your rainbow after the storm of this life is through. One day when it’s your turn to go you will see her and she will be your rainbow. . . more beautiful than ever. I feel as if we should all be saying thank you thank you thank you. You are the one who inspires us to make the best of our situations. Thank you for your courageous example to all of us bereaved moms. I am so sorry I didn’t have a chance to comment on sweet Ava’s anniversary mark. We have been under the weather here and I didn’t have a chance to log on to the net. I thought of you ALL day, and prayed for you all week. Loves to you and your family.
