You, My Brown Eyed Girl.
At Too Early O’clock this morning, I stumbled into her room, expecting nothing more than the usual muttering from me and instructions from the bright eyed one to not forget blankie on the way out. Instead, I took one look and knew I had to run and get the camera. With sleepy eyes, I managed to capture her first few moments of the day.
It’s these things that I desperately want to remember when we leave here. “Home” is not enough to call this place we have dwelled for eight years. I couldn’t begin to describe how I feel when I look back, nor when look forward.
So, here she is, totally and utterly scrumptious even with bed hair.

Showing off her beloved blankie..actually I don’t know if it’s actually the tag she’s infatuated with and that the blanket just happens to be attached to it? In any case, blankie goes everywhere – she is my only baby to have ever had a comfort anything so it’s a novelty to us to see her so attached to it. Lets see how I feel when she wants to cart it to school.

I asked her to play peekaboo through the cot so I could get this:

But she kept thinking I meant this:

How cute is this bambi singlet?

A little later, still with her beloved.
Sheye xx

My nephew, Jacob, loved (and still loves at 6) his blankie. I think you might be right, he loved the silky tag on the blanket. He would spend hours rubbing the tag. If the blanket wasn’t around he would settle for the tag in his shirt (or your shirt for that matter). Even now, when he is really sleepy and fighting it off you’ll find him rubbing a tag.
She, btw, is a cutie pie! Photographing her I am sure is like a drug! You MUST do it :)

oh honey – she is just devine! d.e.v.i.n.e.
I have one of those too early o’clock babes too – he crawls in at some ungodly hour & takes over my pillow!!!!!

She is so so cute! I looove the first one.

She is just beeyootiful!
J.T. had and still has Mr. Pillow. It has green fringe (fading fast now) around the edge and he likes to stroke it as he goes to sleep. I think it is sweet. He doesn’t take it into school, but he does snuggle with it on the way to school.

Absolutely gorgeous! I adore the picture of Ivy and her blankie.
I wish I had a millionth of your talent and some pictures like this of my daughter at this age, I was always far too tired and grumpy to record moments like that.
If you are ever in the UK I’d love you to shoot my daughter.

Sheye, she is devine and what a nice gift each and every morning it would be to walk in and see those big brown eye’s so full of Mummy’s love. Especially on days that don’t shine quite so brightly.
I see in her face that your love for her is limitless and I would photograph her as much as I could too.

I found your blog at BO’s, and love it. Beautiful, beautiful pictures…And yes, you were born to photograph!!!!!
Allthough, I have read your whole blog, and story, and my heart cries for your terrible lost…
Mother of three children, and it was a loooong night, with emotions, and tears, reading it, and I’m deeply touched…
And along with the lovely pictures of such a adorable girl, it hit me hard….Take care of you, and your lovely family, and I wish you the best in your new home, making new memories, starting off a new chapter…
