The Super Princess Series.

Just when I thought I’d gotten my breath back, Mandy from Belle & Boo has taken it away!! I tried so hard to wait a day or two to post again so that my thankyou stays at the top but I can’t help myself – I just have to share. Ava’s “Super Princess” illustrations are finished!!! They are beyond Beauty Full – Mandy has exceeded my hopes and expectations 100 times over, I just can’t put into words how special they are!

A funny thing – when I really love something, I mean reeeally adore something, I almost can’t look at it. A little like a dress that’s just too good to wear or paper that’s too pretty to write on, these perfect little pictures are so delightful to me I can barely stand to peek at them…they just have such an impact on me. I’m sneaking sideways glances so I can get used to their wonder gradually!! Some of them were done with a photo as inspiration and some were done right from scratch, which just astounds me when I see how closely they resemble Ava. Every one of them is a precious memory I hold and Mandy has just captured those moments perfectly.

Okay, I’ll try to shoosh up now but I just wanted to show them off and tell you that Mandy is selling them at her Etsy shop with 25% of the sale price being so generously donated to the Mater Hospital who cared for Ava. There are five in total – I’d love for everyone to go and see how beautiful they are.

I feel like I’m guilty of over-use of the word “thankyou” but Mandy, thankyou. You are a gift.

**edited to say there has been a stampede at Etsy so if you can’t see them, Mandy will be restocking all the time – just check back a little later..You can also just “converse” with Mandy and request them – there is no limit on prints. I will add the other three here just so they’re always on show :)

   Sheye, these prints are absolutely adorable! It was hard to choose between all five but I decided on Hush Little Mermaid and purchased it earlier today! I have a little story behind my purchase! I have a new apartment and one of the rooms is pink…after growing up in a pink room, with a pink carpet, and pink everything-I spent most of my teenage and young adulthood shying away from anything pink, that is, until now! Ever since I’ve known of Ava, everything pink I see reminds me of her and as soon as I walked into that pink room, I smiled and was more than happy to keep it as it is :] Ava’s illustration will make a lovely addition in the room!    I bought three – but especially love ava jumping on her bed – the prints are for my little girl who also loves pink – and after spending an incredible hour here reading about Ava – when Margot asked if she could sleep in my bed last night I just said yes….

    Love, love, love these! What a wonderful tribute to Ava, and they are beautiful in their own right. I ordered four (all but the carousel one). They will look beautiful in my guest room. The bed in there is an iron four-poster, painted white, that I have had since I was 10 years old, and the walls are painted yellow, with white ceiling and trim. These prints are unique and beautiful and, of course, a sweet reminder of lovely Ava.

    Oh you are right Sheye they are all so Beauty Full :) They all made my heart swell as I looked at the Super Princess in each one ……. but so love the one of her on the bed – I remember so vividly the “I am not jumping , I am flying ” That one will go in my little A’s room and yes everything there is pink too :)

    Oh Sheye, they are so wonderful – you can barely peek at them and I can’t take my eyes off them! LOL I let the girls choose one each – Sophie loved Hush Little Mermaid, Amy chose Ava in Wonderland and Kate chose Ava with Wings – because she instantly recognised the photo it is based on. I remember showing her way back when you originally posted it and she giggled at Ava flying not jumping… So that will be very special, they all will be. Thanks to you and Mandy for sharing them with us, what an exquisite team you two make. I like the idea of Ava visiting the little girls’ bedrooms all over the world who have these stunning prints of her watching over them as they sleep. :)

    Btw, I have been humming “hush little mermaid” all day! LOL

Your children are beautiful your pictures are amazing and the story of your daughter hit home with me, I have lost two brothers and know how hard is is to go on, but somehow we do!

    I found your blog today and read about the illustrations of the superprincess. I have two of those prints since the day Mandy first sold those and I absolutely love them. Now that I know the story behind them they are even more special to me.
