Yesterday Luca insisted I take 412 photos of him jumping on the lounge. Seeing as I’m focusing on getting tack sharp images at the moment, it was an offer too good to refuse. For some odd reason, he assumed the Ghandi pose as he lept into the air..every single time. Odd, my boy…hilarious and odd.

Funnier still was when we convinced Mason that Luca actually levitated off the lounge with nothing more than extreme concentration. He’s driving himself insane trying to achieve the impossible :p

Because I can’t say the Poor Man’s Holga – it’s a thirty buck camera :p

I’m having a monotone moment and taking it one step further, loving all things grainy, gritty and distorted. Until I get the time and energy to explore film a lot more, I’ll have to make do with digital manipulation using various filters and actions….

As much as I love the effect, I still think it’s cheating…real skill comes from spending the time BEFORE you press the shutter, not after you upload a file. There is so much to be said for those who limit their photo opportunity to 12 exposures…who see their image in totality before they even lift their camera.

I hope I never lose my passion for the craft that is film photography.
