Meeting Friends

It’s a funny thing I often ponder…that our children will never know life without the internet… buying their music song by song online, bidding for their things most wanted and creating friendships from an electronic box in the study will be so normal to them… And they’ll no doubt roll their eyes when I try to describe life before Cyberspace.
This past weekend I met a longtime online friend, Vanessa, and her stunning daughter Kara..They came up from Adelaide for a much deserved Gold Coast mini-holiday. The kids loved each other and it was so cute to watch them hang out like they’d known each other for years.
It still amazes me how I get to meet people I would never have come across if it wasn’t for the little box sitting on my study desk (and in this case, it was my Ebay addiction that lead me to Vanessa!!!!)
