Girlie Time down at The Revival Lounge :)

After a hiccup where I was too ill with the flu to arrive on Friday, I finally made it up to Brisbane on Saturday for a wonderful day of pedicures/champage/shopping and gossip with Jen, Susannah and Leoni.

Squeezed in some photos but the combination of either too low light (spa) or fluro (department store) meant I was not happy with them but I’ll share a few anyhow.

Thanks for a wonderful day girls, count me in for this annual event.

Be afraid.

My three year old terrifies me, have I told you that?
I found her strolling in the garden yesterday, my pink handbag slung over shoulder, lace doily worn a-la-flying nun. It started to rain so she rushed inside, declaring “Mum. My hair got wet”, like it’s one of the seven deadly sins. I laughed and said “I know..it’s rainingand made the comment “Ava, you’re such a princess”. She spins around, hand on hip and says “Mum! I am NOT a princess”..She starts to walk away and says, completely deadpan “I’m a SUPER PRINCESS”!!!

Those two photos were taken an hour later when she decided wet hair was back in vogue.

I love my outdoor shower

sooooooooo much. If ever there was $200 well spent, it was on this. No matter how my monsters appear at my door – bleeding/mud-covered/post food-fight…I simply point to the shower and off they trot. The only downside is if I forget they’re there, eventually the hot water does run out because they just love to play under it for hours. Yesterday Mason and Ava grabbed one of their toy buckets and turned the shower into a bath. Apart from the arguments over who’s turn it was, a good time was had by all.
