Since when do 13 year olds look like this??

My gorgeous niece, India, came to stay with her equally gorgeous brother Bass this week… It’s been too long between visits and the kids had such a great time…I knew India was beautiful but I’m still amazed at the photos I captured – she is the sweetest child, so innocent and softly spoken..but here you’d think she was an 18 year old woman of the World. I had not one bad photo of her. She probably thinks I’m a bit nutty the way I’ve told her how beautiful she is every 10 minutes but hey, that’s what Aunties are for. I meant to get around to some boy photos but it just didn’t happen. After all, how can mud and Gabe Cube compete with tutu’s and roses? Sorry Basey, I’ll get there next time, promise.

Pass The Serapax, Please.

It’s school holidays. Not that I don’t love a house full of fighting, whining, bored children. And did I mention the washing? Mmmm, I’m sure vacations are simply put there to make us feel sooo much better about the school fee bill when it arrives sometime this week. Hell, I’d pay double today.

On a brighter note, today we went ice skating!! I even donned a pair of skates and got myself out there, clinging to the rails like some deranged geriatric for all of two laps before I conceded defeat but hey, I did it. Luca picked it up in no time and was flying around like it was nothing. Crayte decided he was actually Dean himself, or is it Torville?, and worked up a sweat strutting his stuff. Mason announced after 6 minutes that he hated it and was never doing it again. Skates off, planted at the cafe, he didn’t budge for the next 2 hours. How very predictable!! It really was fun and we’ll do it again soon.

Here’s Missy Ava jumping around on her bed today…know that there was a whooole lotta bribing for the face photo!!
